I knew Louie was a good sport when I was forced to take an unwanted detour on my way home from picking him up.
As I drove on the highway, trying to focus on the road and not just on his cute little face, I started hearing a loud noise coming from my front, right wheel well. Not knowing what it could be, I pulled over to check things out. No sign of any problems so thinking all was well, I got back in the car and kept on my way. It didn't take thirty seconds for the noise to return, so I immediately pulled off at an exit and made my way to the first gas station. There is where I saw that my tire was falling apart and I had been lucky not to get a flat on the highway!
I drove (very slowly) down the street to the first tire shop, but unfortunately they did not carry my tires. Poor Louie has no idea where he is nor does even know me at this point, but he was a real trooper. He gladly met the giant chocolate lab at the tire shop and ate up all of the attention from the staff as the grown men with dirty hands melted over how adorable he was.
We had to leave Louie's new friend behind to find the correct tires, so the adventure continued. We were in luck! The next shop had my tires in stock. Now we just had to wait for them to do the work. Two hours in the waiting room, Louie met about 20 new people and loved every minute of it. He especially loved the little kids. One little boy had so much fun playing with Louie, that he went outside and picked a flower for me to thank me for letting him play with Louie!
Eventually we were able to finish our ride home and get Louie a much needed nap!
